Continuing Education for 2010

The 2010 schedule for continuing education is being distributed. The schedule is for 6 months.

All full time Franklin County EMS providers will be required to attend one of the CON ED classes offered each month. Remember this training is mandatory. If you are unable to attend one of the CON ED classes you must contact the training division to arrange make up training. Please note that training for March is HAZMAT which is being offered on Tuesday the 9^th and Tuesday the 30^th this class will be held for 8 hours.

The classes offered for full time providers will be held at Southeastern Emergency Equipment in Youngsville.

Volunteer providers please note that Youngsville Rescue, Bunn Rescue and Louisburg Rescue will be hosting evening continuing education classes. White Level Rescue will be hosting class on the second Saturday of each month. This will assist all providers in obtaining continuing education hours.

These classes will continue as long as attendance numbers are adequate to support these classes. Providers from all departments are encouraged to attend the continuing education classes offered at any Rescue department.

The remaining schedule for 2010 will be posted in May. The teaching institute will evaluate the need for future classes and schedule them accordingly.

At this time no initial Intermediate or Paramedic classes are planned. These classes will be assessed and if a need is found then they will be scheduled accordingly.
